A large portion of the garden is dedicated to the outdoor kitchen area, which was placed slightly below ground level to provide better wind protection. Surrounding it is a two-tiered glass railing, where an additional panel can be raised on top of the first to increase the height of the wind barrier. All plantings were designed to maintain unobstructed sea views.

The site already had three metal pergolas, which were incorporated into the plan with a new purpose.

Next to the outdoor kitchen, at ground level, there is a large steel pergola with a retractable panel system on the roof. Beneath it, a lounge area and an outdoor theater with a retractable screen are planned. The screen can be stored away when not in use. A hot tub will also be placed nearby.

The sunken firepit area was designed for direct access from the house’s sauna. The circular shape contrasts with the otherwise linear garden design. Its size allows for a larger gathering space for evening get-togethers.

Some trees in the front yard will be thinned out. The beach area will be renovated, and the breakwater will be repositioned and slightly extended. The existing garden storage will be rebuilt, and the house’s main entrance will be relocated toward the central part of the building. A large metal pergola will be built as a sheltered waiting area for arriving boats.

On this island property, only the sound of waves and birds can be heard. It is a perfect place to rest and recharge before returning to the mainland.
