In addition to her expertise in the green industry, she has a diverse educational background that includes studies in business, international trade, and building architecture.
Heidi offers her services both in Finland and abroad, with international operations conducted in English. Her expertise spans from design to delivering inspiring lectures on green and construction industries. She is a well-known speaker at garden and construction fairs in Finland, as well as at international seminars and events.

Site Survey Visit
Visiting the site is a crucial part of the design process. During the visit, the garden is photographed, its environment is analyzed, and its potential is assessed. The client’s wishes are mapped out, and all challenges and limitations of the site are considered. The garden designer evaluates different perspectives and possibilities—what can be implemented and what might need to be excluded. This survey visit also serves as a consultation and is eligible for a household tax deduction in Finland for renovation projects.

Garden Layout Plan/Rough Draft
This phase is typically completed after the initial site survey of a good garden. It identifies the garden’s functional areas and pathways. While the design work is not yet to scale, it is done using computer tools.

Garden Master Plan
A scaled garden plan that outlines the garden’s functions, materials, plant areas, plant types, lighting types, walls, and decorative elements in broad strokes.

Garden Implementation Plan
This is the construction plan for the garden design, which includes all quantity lists for materials and plants. It specifies plant species and varieties along with their strengths for the planting area, planting distances, and seedling types. It also includes garden lighting models, detailed images of specifics, and dimensioned drawings of the necessary parts.

Final Collaboration Phase
A detailed work specification or statement, depending on who will build the garden.
