This construction project began in 2022, and garden planning was able to start at the right time, before the foundation work for the house itself commenced.
Access to the back of the plot would have been challenging once the building was in place, making the timing of the garden construction a critical factor.
However, during construction, it was determined that excavators could still reach the lake shore, so initially, the residents can focus on the buildings themselves. The garden will be built by the family, which includes professionals in garden construction.
The garden features large and challenging elevation differences, so terracing was considered to ensure it would be functional and pleasant. 3D modeling was crucial for understanding the elevation changes. The garden walls will primarily be constructed from drilled stones, which the residents already have in storage.
Various seating and lounging areas were planned for the garden. Functional spaces are located on different levels, with open views toward the lake preserved from all areas. Privacy from neighbors is achieved with shrub and tree planting, part of which has been preserved.
The front garden plan was handled by the client themselves.
